Rod Steiger

Nació el 14 de abril de 1925 en Westhampton (Nueva York, Estados Unidos).
Ganó el Oscar a mejor actor por "En el calor de la noche" [In the Heat of the Night] (1967); fue nominado por "El prestamista" [The Pawnbroker] (1964), y a mejor actor de reparto por "Nido de ratas" [On the Waterfront] (1954).
Actuó en "Doctor Zhivago" (1965), "Terror en Amityville" [The Amityville Horror] (1979), "El león del desierto" [Lion of the Desert] (1981) y "El especialista" [The Specialist] (1994).
Falleció el 9 de julio de 2002.
